Reflections of Life and Summer.

Things that are true: 

• People change in the summer, including myself.
• Stress levels can be equal or higher to those of the school year.
• Boy Meets World comes on 3 times a day...
• You don't realize how much you need a vacation until it's winding back down to school again.
• I've found the reason that people change in the summer.

It's because they are finding themselves.

Things that are false:

• Summer is always happy.
• Your best friendships don't change.
• You don't fight with your mother.
• Every picture is perfect.

Yes, it is only about half way through the summer, but I feel that I have learned more this summer than I have learned any other summer.  I've learned about how the world works.  

Not everything is easy, and don't be too confident.  Sure, have confidence in yourself, but don't be cocky about it.  Believe in something worth while.  Don't give up too quickly. 

Don't put your faith in people.  You will never be saticefied.  No matter how happy you are, people will let you down.

If you have faith that things will work out, they will.  Maybe not how you planned, but how God planned, at least. 

Take the hard road.  Things aren't easy, but they are so much more worth while in the end.

Think before you act.  Consider the future.  Consider your family.  Hell.  Consider your pets.  Just think about if something will make you happy in the short term or in the long term.  Good things come to those who wait.

Listen to good music.  Something mellow.  Go for a drive.  Some music needs air.  So roll down your windows.  And sing.  It doesn't matter if your bad or not.  That is for the birds.

Light candles.  They put you in a better mood.  If nothing, playing with the flame takes your mind of things for a while. 

Draw pictures.  Take pictures.  Paint pictures.  Whatever it is and however you do it, capture your memories.  You'll miss them when their gone.

But whatever you do...remember what matters.

Remember who is important to you, and who you are important to.

Don't be selfish.  You will only look bad in the end.

But don't be selfless either.  Or you will end up a blubbering mess like I have found myself a few times this summer.

Remember your friends, your family, your hobbies, and your God.

Cuz he'll always remember you.
